Shirley E. Quillen, originally from West Virginia, and currently residing in Troy, OH, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2023. She was 86 years old.

Shirley was born on May 23, 1937, to the late Elwood Duncan and Icy Williams. In 1954, she married her lifelong sweetheart, Wesley, who passed away in 2017. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her children, Curtis and Donna, her brothers, Dennis and Willie and her sister Sylvia Duncan.

She is survived by her sons, Terry (Kelly) Quillen, and Marty Quillen, eleven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Lou Verna Skaggs of Casstown, OH.

Shirley retired from Miami Industries, where she worked as a machine operator. She enjoyed being with her kids and grandkids and she loved her Cincinnati Reds and Kentucky Wildcats. No matter what activity she was engaged in she had family and friends by her side. Family was the most important part of her life and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Visitors are invited to view between 1p-2p on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. A funeral service will follow at 2pm with Mr. Rob Williams officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
