Stephen James Beard, age 77 of Troy, passed away on July 7, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 18, 1944 in Dayton, OH to the late Robert Paul and Rosemary Stinson Beard.

Those left to cherish Stephen's memory include his son, Bret (Teesha) Beard of West Milton, OH; daughter, Christina (Ryan) Mayes of Washington State; grandchildren, Evan and Karra Beard and Hector Mayes; sister, Robin (Brian) Smith of Hillard, OH; and niece, Jessica Smith of Galloway, OH.

Stephen graduated from Vandalia Butler High School and later went on to get his Bachelor's Degree from Wright State. He was a person with many interests and pursuits throughout life, with a particular interest in food, writing and literature. He was light-hearted and always tried to find the humor in good and bad situations, was generally a relaxed and friendly person who saw the best in others.
