Stephen Ray Snyder, age 76 of Troy, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born February 17, 1949 in Portsmouth to Carl Snyder and Dorothy (Blakesley) Snyder.

Along with his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his brother Gary Lester Snyder and sister Judy Tyree.

Those left to cherish Stephen’s memory include his wife Marjorie (Manson) Snyder, whom he married December 5, 2000 and brother Edward (Naomi) Snyder of London, KY; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Stephen was a 1968 graduate of Wilbur Wright High School in Dayton retired with GHNR in Dayton after several years as a mold maker.

A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in McKendree Cemetery in West Portsmouth, OH. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
