Steven W. Swartz, age 64 of Phoenix, AZ, passed away June 25, 2025. He was born January 8, 1961 in Massillon, OH to Terry Swartz and Kathleen (Remley) Lutz.

Steven was preceded in death by his father Terry Swartz, brother Tim Lutz, and sister Tammy (Lutz) Gulley.

Those left to cherish Steven's memory include his wife Lori (Scott) Swartz of Phoenix, AZ; mother and stepfather Kathleen and John E. Lutz of Troy; his children Joshua Swartz (Casie) of Surprise, AZ and Jacob Swartz (Brittany) of Seattle, WA; his first wife and mother of his children Denise (Brown) Swartz of Surprise, AZ; grandchildren Benjamin, Charlotte, and Harrison, all of Surprise, AZ; three brothers Jeffrey Swartz (Candis) of Troy, Robert Swartz (Penny) of Scottsdale, AZ, Tom Lutz (Deanna) of Lombard, IL, and sister Terri Lynn Brown of Minster.

Steven was a 1979 graduate of Troy High School. Upon graduation, he entered the US Navy and served for 18 years as an EMC/SS NPTU instructor at the US Navy Submarine Service. He was a member of the Pat Tillman Post 42 of the American Legion in Phoenix, AZ.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
