IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Susan (Suzy) Lu
Eberhardt
July 14, 1951 – March 3, 2026
Susan (Suzy) Lu Eberhardt (Wendelmoot), 74, of Troy, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2026 after a 6 month battle with brain cancer. She was loved by so many and she never met a stranger.
Suzy was born on July 14, 1951 in Mansfield, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents Lewis (Lew) Wendelmoot, Sarah (Sally) Vick and step-parents Elizabeth (Liz) Wendelmoot and Kelly Vick. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mark Eberhardt, Jr.; daughter Lindsey (Jeff) Boss; grandson August (Augie) Graf, who she absolutely adored; bonus grandchildren, Luke, Lillian and Logan Boss; sister, Nanci McNamee; brothers, Tim and Terry (Ramona) Vick; step-sisters, Debra Drown, Cathy MacLeod and Paula Jackman; many nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Elsie.
Suzy was a stay-at-home mom and Girl Scout Leader for many years. Once Lindsey was grown, she became a Teacher's Aide at Troy High School for students with an IEP. She loved her job and the students adored her.
Suzy loved to travel with friends and family. Some favorite destinations were the Caribbean Islands, Mexico, Canada, Europe, Hawaii, Alaska and New York City.
In addition to traveling, she was an avid sports fan and loved attending the Blue Jackets, Reds, Bengals and Dragons games, including many away games.
Suzy was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Silver Sneakers and enjoyed monthly lunches with her women's group. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross, working with her husband to install smoke alarms and educate residents in local communities about home safety.
Suzy did not want a formal ceremony. Her wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes scattered at some of her favorite vacation locations.
As a cat lover and having rescued many stray cats throughout her lifetime, in lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate to the Miami County Animal Shelter, or your favorite, local “no-kill” shelter. Also consider adopting a pet from a shelter in her memory.
We encourage everyone who knew her to share memories within her friend groups and on her obituary page at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home.
