Thelma Ruth Alexander, age 75 of Troy, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 in the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1944 in Troy to the late Frank and Lula (Green) Lewis.

Thelma is survived by her two daughters: Crystal Viney of Troy and Michele Lewis of Dayton; nine grandchildren: LaTisha Taylor, Timothy Davis, Charles Davis, Jr., Darius Viney, Jaizon Viney, Arik Viney, Ashaya Viney, Kaleia Viney, and Tai Viney, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; as well as sister Vivian Williams (Chuck) of Troy.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Joseph Alexander and 10 brothers and sisters.

Thelma loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She enjoyed watching old TV gameshows and westerns. She retired with the former Harborside Healthcare in Troy in 2006 after many years of service.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
