Thelma O. McKinney Yenger, 101, of Troy, passed away 1:10 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at SpringMeade HealthCenter in Tipp City. She was born in Houston, Ohio on October 9, 1912 to the late William and Mary (Richard) McKinney. She was married to Edward Warren Yenger, and he preceded her in death on October 28, 1978.

Thelma is survived by two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nine step great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one step-daughter; one step-son; three sisters; and two brothers.

Thelma was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy. She was a 1930 graduate of Houston High School. She was a member of St. Patrick Ladies Auxiliary, Knights of St. John #311, and the Troy Senior Citizens. She was a former co-owner with her husband, Warren, of Troy Furniture and Upholstery Co. for 30 years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Contributions may be given to Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373, in her memory.
