Tommy James Reed, age 53 of Troy, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024. He was born December 8, 1970 in Parish, LA to the late Richard and Jo (Shuff) Reed.

Those left to cherish Tommy's memory include his sister Maggie Reed of Bradford, as well as nephews Lakota Mills, Blade Mills, and Tyler Clark, and great nieces Phoenix and Rhea Mills; uncle Theodore Shuff of Mamou, LA, aunts Sheryl Reed of Mamou, LA and Sheila Ardoin of Ville Platte, LA;  significant other of 8 years, Marla Tucker. He is also survived by Marla's children Shawn Trimble, Chelsea Hall, and Maranda Campbell, as well as Marla's grandchildren Shay, Grayson, Kiana, Harlow, Bryce, Bailey, and Zayden. Tommy was close with Marla's family and thought of them as his own.

Tommy was a US Army veteran. He worked for F&P America in Troy for 3 years. He had a passion for music and played guitar for the local band Throttle, which he formed with his best friend Brian Ralls. Tommy had a full heart for those he loved, especially his companion Marla and her children and grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
