Vernon H. Brunette, age 75 of Covington, formerly of New Carlisle, passed away June 21, 2018 at Covington Care Center. He was born March 7, 1943 in Escanaba, MI and raised in Flat Rock, MI.

Vernon is survived by his mother Lucille (Tourangeau) Brunette of Escanaba, MI­­­­; wife Shirley (Cousineau) Brunette, whom he married on December 22, 1962; son Michael Brunette of Tipp City; two daughters: Michele Brunette of Tipp City and Marla Brunette (Paul Whaley) of New Carlisle; grandchildren: Caleb (Jessica) Williams, Christopher Williams, Brianna Brunette, Lauren Brunette, and Hannah Brunette; one great-grandson Henry Williams; as well as sister Cindy Lou Erickson of Escanaba, MI.

He was preceded in death by his father Henry Brunette and brother LeRoy Brunette.

Vernon was a US Air Force veteran having served for over 20 years. He retired with the US Government where he specialized in tech support and logistics. He was a past member of the VFW in Escanaba, MI.

A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00PM Sunday, August 5, 2018 at American Legion Post #43, Troy with Pastor Robert Watson of the Springfield, OH Salvation Army officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
