Virgie Lou Farris, age 80 of Laura, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 in the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born December 16, 1937 in Paintsville, KY to the late Halluck and Polly Cantrell.

Virgie is survived by her three sons: Robert Farris (Ladean) of Franklin, Ralph Farris of Beckley, WV, and Mike Farris of Troy; daughter Kimberly Farris Wright of Laura; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers: Johnny Cantrell of Columbus, Orville Cantrell (Zula) of Columbus, David Cantrell (Teresa) of Greenup, KY, and Chester Cantrell of Troy; as well as two sisters: Ruth Evans of Troy and Gertrude Hunt of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Gene Farris as well as four sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Piqua Church of the Brethren: 525 Boal Ave., Piqua, OH 45356 with a dinner following the service.
