Wanda C. Cooper, age 86 of Troy, died at her residence Tuesday, November 24, 2015. She was born on July 25, 1929 in South Shore, Kentucky to the late William and Sallie (Quillen) Carr.

She is survived by her husband, Howard J. Cooper, whom she married on January 19, 1953. Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law Pam and Dale Stover of Woodbury, Tennessee, and Mary Beth and Doug Moore of Troy. Also survived by four grandchildren, Michael Coey, Emily Coey, Tara (Jim) Shank, and Vince (Katie) Stover, as well as five great-grandchildren, Brett Stover, Camden Stover, Noah Adams, Ryley Coey, and Cooper Shank.

Wanda was a 1946 graduate of McKell High School in South Shore, Kentucky, and was a member of the Troy Baptist Temple. She retired from Eurodrive in 1991, where she worked in the accounting department for 16 years, and she worked and retired from the DMV in Troy from 1996-2012. She also worked for Troy City Schools for a number of years.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10AM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. Visitation hours will be on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 4 PM to 7PM at the funeral home.
