Wilberta I. Turner, age 93 of Troy, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Koester Pavilion. She was born April 19, 1925 in Troy to the late Ora B. and Mayward E. (Wade) Chavis

Wilberta is survived by her son Wesley Jones of Las Vegas, NV; her daughter Patty Cleveland-Isle of Tullahoma, TN; grandchildren Susan Williams, James Cleveland, and Chad Robinson, all of Ohio, Walter (Tony) Cleveland of Tennessee, Wesley Jones, Jr. and Brandon Jones, both of Texas, and Justin Jones of Colorado; special to her heart great-granddaughters Rachel and Ashley Richardson of Ohio and a host of other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband William J. Turner; daughter Jeanette Robinson; grandson Ricky Robinson; as well as three brothers and five sisters.

Wilberta was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Troy and a graduate of Troy High School. She was employed as a Stenographer for Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00AM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Troy with Pastor Charles Carnes officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the church prior to the service. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
