William Ray Grove, age 40 of Troy, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025. He was born May 16, 1985 in Dayton to William R. Grove and Penny Etherington.

Will was preceded in death by his wife Megan Grove on September 14, 2023; paternal grandparents Anna and Robert Grove, as well as maternal grandfather Roger Sturgeon.

Those left to cherish Will's memory include his son Reiley Grove of Troy; his parents William Rod Grove (Heidi) of Troy and Penny Etherington (Charles "Chuck" Davis) of Troy; maternal grandmother Dorothy Sturgeon of Troy; sisters Brooklyn Matheny (Terry) of Tipp City, Heather Bozeman (Donovan) of Huber Heights, and Brittany Etherington of Greenville; stepbrother  Jeff Etherington of Troy and stepsister Asia Etherington of Kettering; uncle Roger Sturgeon of Troy; nieces and nephews Elias Flory, Kyson Bozeman, McKinley Matheny, and Myla Bozeman. Will also leaves his in-laws Regina (Heatherly) Gleason of Troy, and Jason Johnston of Troy whom he considered his second parents.

Will was a 2004 graduate of Troy High School. He worked for the former Faurecia Exhaust Systems for over 10 years. Will was a member of the Redmen Lodge #222 in Troy and the Troy Eagles #971. He had a tender heart and loved his dog Lexi, who will miss him dearly. In his spare time, Will enjoyed playing the guitar, as well as hunting and fishing.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00PM Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Jeremy Matheny officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00PM-6:00PM prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
