William Mark “Bill” Thomas, Sr. age 76 of Troy, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Centerville Post Acute Care in Centerville, OH. He was born September 17, 1949 in Piqua to the late William Henry Thomas and Pauline (Carder) Thomas.

Bill was preceded in death by his son William “Billy” Thomas, Jr. on September 5, 2019; as well as sisters Marsha and Karen.

Those left to cherish Bill’s memory include his significant other Mary Jane Grilliot of Troy; son Ben Thomas of Louisville, KY; grandchildren Melanie Thomas, Taylor Thomas, Brendan Thomas, Aidyn Thomas, Alexia Thomas, Parker Thomas, and Addie Thomas, and great-grandson Abel Hill; as well as nephew Lee Henry Thomas of Covington.

Bill was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam era and retired as a painter.
