Allen Ray Randall, age 77 of Medford, OR and formerly of Troy, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at his residence. He was born September 11, 1944 in Prineville, OR to the late Benjamin Cecil and Mary Louise (nee Moffit) Randall.
Allen is preceded in death by his son Vincent Randall; as well as siblings Ronald Randall, Edward Randall, Duane Randall, and Shirley Sandoval.
Those left to cherish Allen's memory include his fiancé of 10 years Rowena Kendall; children Michelle Baker (Matt) of Arcanum, Melissa Bryant (Paul) of Troy, Samantha Murphy of Piqua, Benjamin Randall (Candace) of Troy, and Cynthia Potter (Eric) of Troy; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; siblings Nancy Strom (Paul) of Las Vegas, NV, James Randall of Grants Pass, OR, William Randall of Lawrenceburg, TN, Lewis Randall of Lawrenceburg, TN, and David Randall of Portland, OR; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.
Allen was a dedicated US Marine Corp veteran, retiring as First Sergeant after having served from November 1961 until March 1984. After his military retirement, Allen worked as a caretaker for the Miami County Agricultural Society from 1984 until 2004. From 2005-2007 he worked as a truck driver. Allen was a member of the Southern Oregon Moore Lodge #2647 where he achieved his degree of Pilgrim. He had previously been awarded titles of Administrator, Governor, Treasurer, Jr. Past Governor, District President-District 1, and a Fellow, before achieving the Degree of Pilgrim. He was also a member of Troy Elks Lodge #833.
A funeral service will be held at 6 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Paul Bryant officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 4 PM to 6 PM. Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Dayton National Cemetery with Military Honors by the Veterans Memorial Honor Guard of Troy. Memorial contributions may be given to Asante Hospice-Jackson County: 209 N. Pacific Hwy, Talent, OR 97540. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
