Amber Dawn Benton Goonan

Amber Dawn (Benton) Goonan, age 41 of West Milton, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. She was born August 25, 1981 in Columbus to Quintlin and Erma (Cummings) Benton.

Amber was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents George and Betty Hicks.

Those left to cherish Amber’s memory include her parents Quintlin and Erma Benton of West Milton; husband Michael Goonan of Troy; children: Daisy Thomas of West Milton, Betty Benton of West Milton, and Benjamin Shute of Troy; sisters Angela Benton of Tipp City, Natasha Benton of Carlisle, Kristina Wright (Christopher) of Missouri, and Ashlee Hawkins of Piqua; as well as aunt Angela Hicks of Troy and cousin Britney Hicks of Troy.

Amber attended Open Arms Church n Tipp City. She had a servant’s heart and cared deeply for others. She loved to cook and always made sure everyone had food on their plate. She loved to host meals and cookouts after church and congregate with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her big heart and giving spirit.

A funeral service will be held 12:00PM Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Bob Bell officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
