David Eugene Tims

David Eugene Tims, age 72 of Troy, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at his residence. He was born May 30, 1950 in Yellow Springs, OH to the late Eugene and Marilyn (Schram) Tims.

He was preceded in death by his wife Heike Tims on March 3, 2008, the love of his life, Margaret Taylor on January 10, 2017, as well as sister Debra Tims.

Those left to cherish David’s memory include his children: Connie (Willy) Nichols of Dayton, Robin (James) Wynn of Virginia Beach, VA, George Tims of Troy, and Kristofer (Amy) Tims of Troy; brothers: Mark Tims of Dayton and Bruce Tims of New Carlisle; and grandchildren: Sabrina Nichols Bailey (Chris), Faith Autumn Tims, Victoria Lucas, and Gracie Lucas.

David was a US Army veteran. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and worked as a service manager and service rider for Harley Davidson for many years. He was also passionate about martial arts. David enjoyed all things outdoors- camping, and cookouts (he was an excellent cook!) especially. He was a Scout Master for Troop 119 in Florida. David was an animal lover but his heart was with his family. He cherished spending time with them most of all.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00PM-4:00PM Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
