Doris Eileen Kessler

Doris Eileen Kessler, age 93 of Troy, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her residence. She was born May 15, 1928 in Piqua to the late John and Gertrude (nee Clawson) Swob.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Kessler on November 11, 2010; five sisters and one brother. 

Those left to cherish Doris’s memory include her daughters Ginger Rowe of Troy and Terri Browning of Troy; and grandchildren Christopher Rowe (Amy), Nicholas Rowe (Michaelyn), Benjamin Rowe (Andrea), Michele Martin, Michael Martin (Amber), and Randi Loxley (Rick); and 14 great grandchildren.

Doris was a 1946 graduate of Piqua High School and a member of First United Church of Christ, Troy. She enjoyed fishing, reading, playing cards, puzzles, and sitting on the back patio watching the birds, bumblebees and nature.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Ed Sollenberger and Pastor Lauren Allen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, January 26 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service on Thursday at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
