Edna Jane Murray

Edna Jane (Washington) Murray 82 of Troy Ohio. She departed this life on Sunday February 18, 2024. Edna was born on July 19, 1941 in Dumas Arkansas to the late Robert and Rosie (Turntine)White of Meroney Arkansas.

Edna was a long time domestic worker for Dr. Walter and Peg Meeker and family. She had other employment opportunities at; Hobart Corporation in Troy, Tube Products in Troy, Demco Gray where she also served as union stewart.

Edna gave her life to Christ in 1983 at Revival Center Ministries, she later joined Agape Ministry under the Pastorship of the late Pastors Wesley and Jacquline McCoy, She continued her walk with Christ as a member of True Life Community Church in Troy. Through her love for God, when Edna would greet and interact with people she became well known thru out Troy and the surrounding area for two things. Her greeting of "Too Blessed To Be Stressed" and her fried chicken.

Edna was proceeded in death by her parents Robert and Rosie (Turntine) White, her first husband Albert Washington, four brothers Lloyd White, Walter B. White Sr., J.C. White, Robert White, four sisters Leatrice and Beatrice White, Ophelia Harrell, Irene Perry, one grandson Cornelius Wayne Wright Jr., one great-grand-daughter Damianna Goodall, one great-great-grandson Jasiel Ariyon Sherrod

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Stuart Murray Troy OH, one son Robert Lee Washington of Troy OH, two Daughters Dorothy Jean Wright of Michigan City, IN, Elaine Frazier of Tipp City OH, Special Nephew- Son Walter B. White JR. McDonough Ga, One Sister Versie Lee Summerville of Pine Bluff, AR

 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She never met a stranger because she considered everyone she came in contact with to be a friend through the love of God.

A funeral service will be held 12:00PM Monday, March 4, 2024 at Transformed Life Church, Piqua with Bishop Brian Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00AM-12:00PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
