Freddie Mae McFadden, age 84 of Piqua, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at Kettering Health Network- Piqua Hospital. She was born January 7, 1937 in Tunica, MS to the late Willie and Caruther (Edward) Kinnel.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank McFadden on April 2, 1993; son Arthur Wilson; grandson Derrick Kinnel; three brothers and four sisters.
Those left to cherish Freddie’s memory include her sons: Charles Jones and Theodore McFadden, both of Piqua; daughters: Charlene Kinnel of Piqua and Margaret Ann Kinnel of Lansing, MI; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brothers: Willie Kinnel of Dayton and Archie Kinnel of Tunica, MS; sisters: Ora May Jackson of Tunica, MS, Lee Miler of Jackson, MS, Maxine Locke of Troy, and Sarah Chambers of Tunica, MS.
Freddie was a retired nurse’s aide at the former Villa Convalescent Center in Troy.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Brian Hamilton officiating. A visitation will be held from 12-1 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
