Ken Michael “Mike” Sullenberger, age 84, of Troy passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born on September 17, 1936 in Troy to the late Burton E. and Mary (Shields) Sullenberger.
In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his son, Scott Sullenberger and his brother, Thomas Sullenberger.
Mike is survived by his wife, Sandra Sullenberger; daughters, Merenda (Gerald) Butcher of Troy, Lorie Mitchell of Troy, and Ann (Tom) Snider of Covington, OH; stepson, John Henry of Piqua, OH; daughter-in-law, Wendy Sullenberger; sister, Katha (David) Keviet of Mainsville, OH; nieces, LuAnn, Kristie, and Callie; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; and 3 step great grandchildren.
Mike enjoyed trains, model trains, watching his son Scott race cars, Ohio State football, and scrapping metal. He belonged to Troy Moose for 46 years and was a life member. Mike was a veteran of the Air Force. He was self-employed working on tail pipes, many knew him as the “Muffler Man of Troy”.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
