Margaret "Peggy" Anna Persinger

Margaret Anna “Peggy” Persinger, age 83 of Troy, passed away 6:55AM Friday, September 1, 2023 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born August 22, 1940 in Bradford to the late Nevin J. and Mildred Pearl (Smith) Hill.

Along with her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her sisters Cindy Thomas, Sandy Whitlow, and Mary Veen.

Those left to cherish Peggy’s memory include her husband of 67 years Harry Persinger, whom she married December 24, 1955; their children: Margaret Sue (Mike) Pennellatore of Monroe, Harry (Denise) Persinger, Jr. of St. Paris, Mary (Tony) Puthoff of Bradford, Beth Cornett of Tennessee, and Naomi (Rob) Baker of Troy; brother Nevin Thomas (Debra) Hill of Piqua; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Peggy was a member of Franklin Bible Methodist Church in Franklin, OH and worked for many years as a nanny. She cherished time with friends and family and held each close to her heart. She enjoyed reading, cooking for her family, flowers, and watching hummingbirds on the front porch.

Visitation will be 5:00PM-7:00PM Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, September 8, 2023 at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Wardlaw of Franklin Bible Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be held in Gettysburg Cemetery, Gettysburg, OH.
