Mary Zimmerman Obituary

Mary Kathryn (Hyde) Zimmerman, age 84 of Troy, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021. She was born on May 22, 1937 in Troy to the late Dr. Burton E.L. and Thyra (Sheffield) Hyde.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brother Sheffield Hyde.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Heidi Z. Cortese of Fishers, IN and Gigi Zimmerman of Vail, CO; and grandson, Thomas A. Cortese.

Mary graduated high school from Salem Academy in North Carolina and attended several years of college. She was a member of the Junior League of Indianapolis, Meals on Wheels, and was a Docent at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. She had a long career in Retail Sales. Mary was an avid crafter. Her passions included knitting, needlepoint, and sewing.

Private family services will be held in November. Contributions may be made to the Troy-Miami County Public Library, 419 W. Main St., Troy, OH 45373.
