Shirley Ann Brunette

Shirley Ann Brunette, age 79 of Tipp City, OH, formerly of Escanaba, MI passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. She was born on March 25, 1943 in Escanaba, MI to the late Richard Joseph and Leona (nee Therian) Cousineau.

In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her loving husband, Vernon Henry Brunette, who she married on December 22, 1962; and her brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Richard Cousineau.

Those left to cherish Shirley’s memory include her son, Michael Brunette of Tipp City, OH; daughters, Michele Brunette and Marla (Paul) Whaley both of Deltona, FL; sister, Judy (Robert) Steinmetz of Escanaba, MI; grandchildren, Caleb, Christopher, Brianna, Lauren, and Hannah; great-grandson, Henry; and special family, Sandra Schwartz and her children Robert, Rachael, and Joseph.

Shirley and Vernon were always together and loved the time they got to spend by each other’s side, and now get to be reunited again. She loved her job and proudly worked for 20 years at Wright-Patterson Airforce Base in Dayton, OH, where she retired. A lot of her life was spent traveling, being a military wife. She had a kind heart and loved taking care of people, she always had a smile on her face. She also enjoyed sewing and ice skating.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Escanaba, MI. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
