Wesley A. Jones 1940-2022
Born in Madison, WI, but lived in California.
Rosemary’s husband, lover, and very best friend passed away Dec 2 after several months of illness. He was surrounded by his family and finally at peace.
He was a gentle, quiet man who was proud of his family and loved playing and teasing his 13 grandchildren and just getting to know his 2 great-grands. He was a man of many interests and talents. He was proud of his Welch heritage. He worked in aerospace for 32 years working on the B-1 Bomber and the Space Shuttle, among others. He retired from Boeing in 2000 and in 2004 moved from California to Troy where he was very involved in the Troy Historical Society, even carrying a picket sign to save a historical building.
He was loved by his family: Son Jeff and Sue Jones, CA. Kelly Epson and fiancé Kenny Howell, WA. Russ and Cassidy Jones, CA. Julie and Francis Harris, Troy. Susan and Erik Steeb, CA. Steven and Nicole Conner, CA. He is also survived by a brother, Jimmy and Alisa Jones, AZ.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, Hilma Commontofski, a brother, Joseph Jones, and a beloved aunt, Beverly Jones.
The hole in our hearts is big, but we know, God is ever present to help us. We celebrate Wes for all that he has been to us. To our prayer warriors, we say thank you so much. We have truly been covered in love and peace.
A celebration of Wesley’s life will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Troy Historic Preservation Alliance, 110 ½ W. Main St., Troy, OH 45373, or Lincoln Community Center, 110 Ash St., Troy, OH 45373. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
