On behalf of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus, please accept our deepest condolences on Bruce's passing. He was a long-time and dedicated member of the DPOC for many years, and a mainstay in our bass section. We will truly miss him as a loyal and dedicated member, an excellent singer, but mostly, our friend and colleague.

Vacation prevented us from attending the viewing and funeral. Dr. Nordquist was our family doctor for many years. He delivered both our daughter and son. In fact, our son was due before Peter, but ended up being born after. Dr. Nordquist was always helpful when either of our kids got sick on a Friday night, would cheerfully call in a prescription, even though we had to contact him at home. They don't make them like that anymore!!!
May he Rest In Peace!

Dear Peter, Jeanine, and girls,
We are sorry to hear about your father's passing, but are blessed to read that the two years invested in Ohio made softenings and everlasting returns! We walk parallel lives of sorrow right now, and will be thinking about you guys often, especially through the next year of holidays and adjustments. We will be praying the Lord's direction for wherever he sends you next. I am so thankful that He directed you to be in Ohio when He did. Blessings and love from Wisconsin. xoxo- Krista, Ryan and the boys

I add my prayers and blessings from Wisconsin to those of the rest of the Bensheimer Family. It was wonderful getting to know your family while you were here among us. I am especially grateful for the privilege I had of teaching Emma, a precious young lady whose heart is set on things above. We will always remember our time with you at Mt. Zion, with sweet memories. God bless you and comfort you as you allow Him to carry your family through this time of grieving, but also celebrating your Dad and Grandpa.

Dr. Bruce was one of the warmest people I've met. He was friends with and sang in the choir with my parents. Once he learned of my love of horses and then plans to attend vet school he always had a few minutes to spare to ask about school, then later work and talk about his own animals, even letting me come out and visit them. He was really just "good people."

Dear Peter and family, I wanted to express my sincere condolences at the loss of your father. I knew him well as my childhood doctor of many years. I lived on Grant St across from your grandmother as I was growing up, so I saw him more than in the office and I even met you many years ago, Peter. Your grandmother was also a very kind and sweet woman. Your father was more than a doctor to me, because he would take the time to stop and talk to me when he would visit your grandmother. He helped me in so many ways I can't even describe. He was truly a caring man that fulfilled that mission he set out to do, and I and many other citizens are indeed fortunate that he touched our lives. May your family find peace during this time.

Sincerely,

Christopher C. Price

I am so sorry for missing the viewing and funeral. I was sick with a bad cold. I will miss him stopping in the library with something he wanted me to find for him on the internet. We always had a great time discussing a myriad of things. He talked about his time at college and engineering the most. He wanted to finish his book. I hope I helped him accomplish that. Peace to you all. God bless.

Words cannot express my feelings at the passing of Dr. Nordquist. He went over and above the duties of a doctor to care for me when I was extremely ill some years ago, for which I was very grateful and am yet today. My deepest sympathies go to his family.

We loved this man! Dr. Bruce was more then our doctor, he was a friend. He delivered our babies, took care of us, but most of all he gave us the best present, our dog Max. I went to see him one day and he asked if I wanted a puppy. For 16 1/2 years, we had that wonderful dog. Funny story: I went in because I hurt my back, said it was because the dog he gave me was taking up too much of the bed. He said " well I have a King Size bed I am not using" So he brought it to our house. No words can tell you how much he meant to all of the Bader family. We will miss him. He truly was a wonderful man.

Dr. Nordquist always could bring a smile to your face with his funny stories. I had the pleasure of working with him when he was a doctor for Hospice of Miami County. The patients really loved him and when he came into the office he would hang around and see how everyone was doing. I know the staff there will miss him. - Shan
