Betty M. Hatfield, 94 of Sidney, formerly of Troy, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Ohio Living Dorothy Love, Sidney.
Betty was born March 30, 1924, in Troy, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Anna D. (Wright) Lindsay, Sr. She was married to Bobbie E. Hatfield on June 11, 1943, whom preceded her in death in December of 1995. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, William, Charles, Paul, John, and Clarence Jr. Lindsay; and two sisters, Mary and Margaret Lindsay.
Betty is survived by one son, Michael D. Hatfield of Troy, one daughter, Debra A. (David) Anderson of Woodstock, GA, and two granddaughters; Lindsay P. Anderson and Laura Anderson both of Woodstock, GA.
Betty was a 1942 graduate of Troy High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy. Betty was also a member of the Troy Senior Citizens, Krazy Quilters Club, and Circle 8 Square Dance Club. With her husband, Bob, they enjoyed traveling together and traveled to all 50 states and several Canadian Provinces by motor home.
Visitation will be from 11am-12noon, Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church, 110 W. Franklin St., Troy, with a Memorial service beginning at 12noon. in the sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Place Food Pantry or Nicaragua Missions at the First United Methodist Church, Troy or to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
