Quincy Lee Butcher, age 81 of Troy, OH, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Koester Pavilion. He was born July 9, 1937 in Freestone County, TX to the late Richard and Consula (Carter) Butcher.
Quincy is survived by his children: Sherron Jefferson (Bart) of Columbus, OH, Stanley Butcher (Kelley) of Troy, OH, Athena Sims of Huber Heights, OH, Alesia Butcher of Columbus, OH, Regina Butcher of Huber Heights, OH, Andre and Zachery Butcher of Sarasota, FL; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Velma Ceasar of Dallas, TX and Joyce Doss of Dallas, TX; two brothers: Arthur Butcher (Jean) of San Antonio, TX and Clarence Butcher of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by brothers Richard, Napoleon, Aaron, and Elmer Butcher as well as sisters Bernice Starling, Theresa Butcher, and Alice Dillard.
Quincy was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Troy, OH and retired as a supervisor from Hobart Brothers after 40 years of service.
A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, December 28, 2018 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH with Pastor Clarence Stafford officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH.
