Evorn Robinson

Evorn Robinson, age 76 of Troy, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at Troy Care and Rehab Center. She was born February 4, 1946 in Arkansas to the late Zarrow Smith and Eliza (McCormick) White.

Evorn was preceded in death by her brothers Ray Smith and Fred Smith.

Those left to cherish Evorn’s memory include her children: Tony Smith (Angela) of Troy, Danny Smith of Troy, Christopher John Smith (Latasha) of Richmond, IN, Rachel Robinson of Moraine, Janice Robinson of Wheeling, WV, and Miranda Shepherd (Christopher) of Troy; sisters: Laverne Smith of Troy, Rose Mary Carnes (Pastor Charles Carnes, Sr.) of Troy, and Clara Howard (Bobby) of Troy; brothers: Jimmy Smith (Ophelia) of Stamps, AR and Walter White, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; a host of grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Evorn was a dedicated member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Troy where she served her church as head usher for many years and was their “minister of encouragement”. She was devout in her faith and would read her Bible often. Evorn enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. She was an avid thrift shopper and enjoyed her word search puzzles. Evorn was family oriented and cherished her visits with them. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren more than anything. 

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ: 1624 N County Rd 25A, Troy, OH 45373 with Pastor Charles Carnes, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the church. Interment will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial donations may be given to the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.
