Luetta Dale “Tudy” Miller

Luetta Dale “Tudy” Miller, age 73 of Tipp City, passed away 5:53pm Thursday, June 1, 2023 at her residence. She was born August 7, 1949 in Floyd County, KY to the late Willie and Rebecca (Baldridge) Tackett.

Along with her parents, Tudy was preceded in death by husband Kenneth Miller on June 17, 2014. They were married for 50 years. Others to precede her include her siblings: Andy Tackett, Jerry Tackett, Arthur Tackett, and Glenda Gay Tackett.

Those left to cherish Tudy’s memory include her son John W. “Johnny” Miller (wife Catherine “Katie”) of Casstown, daughters: Laura “Missy” Rife (husband Denis) of Troy, and Tamila “Tammy” Gilliam (husband Elbert) of St. Paris; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren (with two on the way); brothers: Douglas Tackett (wife Debbie) of Floyd County, KY and Larry Tackett of Floyd County, KY; and sisters Judy Vance of Floyd County, KY and Debbie Hall (husband Stewart) of Floyd County, KY.

Tudy was a member of River of Life Freewill Baptist Church in Floyd County, KY. She loved to spend time in her garden and enjoyed quilting. Tudy frequented thrift stores and garage sales, she loved a good bargain. She also cherished time with her husband, Kenneth, they loved to travel together. Her heart belonged with her family. She was a loving and nurturing mother and grandmother.

Friends and family are welcome to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy from 6:00PM-7:00PM on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. A service will be held at 7:00PM officiated by Tudy’s brother, Pastor Douglas Tackett. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, June 7 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Casstown Cemetery.
