Olen “Pete” Reynolds, age 86 of Troy, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born June 1, 1932 in Stone, KY to the late Walter and Ora (Chapman) Reynolds.
Pete is survived by four sons: Marvin (Lisa) Reynolds of Troy, Mark (Donna) Reynolds of Troy, Monty (Lynn) Reynolds of Troy, and Joseph (Tracy) Souder of Englewood; daughter Matilda “Tillie” (Chris) Bolin of Sidney; 13 grandchildren: Andrea (James) Stewart, Ezekiel (Jess) Reynolds of Somerset, KY, Amanda (Jon) Bowsher of Lima, Alexandra Bolin of Maplewood, Ariana Bolin of Sidney, Stacy Reynolds of Troy, Alina Latimer of Dayton, Chantell Elter of Dayton, Trinity Souder and Joey Souder of Englewood, Nathaniel Reynolds of Troy, Sharletta Griffieth of Troy, and Autumn Adkins of New Lebanon; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Orvin (Marilyn) Reynolds of South Shore, KY, and Gerria (Barb) Reynolds of McAndrews, KY; four sisters: Dell (Rick) Roller of Fletcher, Barbara May of Westerville, Evelyn Bridger of Reynoldsburg, and Yantice Varney of McAndrews, KY.
He was preceded in death by wife Sandra (Larck) Reynolds on June 13, 2012; infant son Gary Michael Reynolds; infant daughter Nancy Carol Reynolds; four brothers: Thomas, Edward, Garrell, James; and sister Morella Johnson.
Pete was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a life member of the VFW Post #5436 in Troy. He was a retired coal miner in Kentucky.
A funeral service will be held 10:30AM Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. David Ramming officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00PM-8:00PM Wednesday, June 13 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Covington with a military service by the Veteran’s Memorial Honor Guard of Troy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Dayton VA Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
