Robert "Bob" Henry Straker

Robert “Bob” Henry Straker, age 72 of White Pine, TN and formerly of Troy, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018. He was born July 25, 1946 in Troy to the late Herschel and Io (Nicodemus) Straker.

Bob is survived by his wife Mary (McQuesten) Straker; son Scott Straker (Erica) of Crestwood, KY; stepson Russell Swart (Haley Raines) of Newport, TN; stepdaughter Bobbie Bargo (Sean) of Mt. Orab; as well as seven grandchildren. 

Bob was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a 1964 graduate of Troy High School and went on to receive an Associate’s Degree in General Business. He was a member of White Pine Church of God and a former member of Troy First Church of God. Bob was an avid watch collector and enjoyed military history. He was also a skillful musician. He retired as a dependency counselor from the Miami County Recovery Council.

A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Friday, December 14, 2018 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Michael Calhoun officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-2:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy with military honors by the Veteran Memorial Honor Guard of Troy.
