Obituary

Roger Lee Stoltz, age 76 of Conover and formerly of Troy, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born November 25, 1945 in Troy to the late Richard and Ruth (nee Johnson) Stoltz. 

In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Melissa Stoltz.

Those left to cherish Roger’s memory include his three sons: Samuel “Sam” Stoltz (Kerry) of Westfield, IN, Jonathan “Jon” Stoltz of Ithica, and Matthew “Matt” Stoltz of Greenville; grandchildren Abigail and Alexander Stoltz; stepmother Melverda Stoltz of Troy; and sister Cherry Stoltz of Conover. 

Roger was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving from 1963-1965. He graduated from Miami East High School in 1963 and went on to receive his Associate’s Degree from Edison State. He enjoyed photography and was a HAM radio operator, his call sign was KB8ING. He worked as an electrician for DP&L and FRAM in Greenville.  

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Greenville Missionary Church. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
