Sally Jo Rife

Sally Jo Rife, age 81 of Florence, KY, formerly of Troy, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at her daughter’s home with her daughters by her side and her son in her heart. She was born July 30, 1936 in Troy to the late Vernon and Marie Zimmerman.

Sally is survived by her son Todd (Karen) Rife of Atlanta, GA; daughters Tracy (Gene) Criner of Florence, KY and Penny Williams of Piqua; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Rife in 2001, as well as one brother and one sister.

Sally was a 1955 graduate of Troy High School and was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Troy. She was previously employed with the former Fair’s Greenhouse in Troy and was a teacher’s aide at St. Patrick School in Troy.

A funeral service will be held 1:00PM Friday, June 1, 2018 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Lauren Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00PM-1:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Donations in Sally’s memory may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association: 31 W. Whipp Rd. Dayton, OH 45459.  Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
